A Room to Read (April Edition)
Description
Looking for a socially acceptable excuse to ignore your texts all morning? Still carrying that same paperback in your tote bag after three weeks?
Extroverts are at brunch. We are doing this!
On a monthly basis, Salted is closed to the public until 12pm for a private morning of movement, carbs and absolute silence.
9am - Yoga mats take the bookshop (10 spots). You can't read deeply if your brain is running at 100mph. Sofia leads an intimate 45-minute Jivamukti class to help you actually relax. We stretch, breathe and exhaust the baseline anxiety so you can sit still and focus on a page later.
10am - Breakfast & Reading Party, the reward (20 more spots). The doors open for the second group. The yoga mats disappear, the famous @dobeco_padaria breakfast spread arrives and we settle into the multiple reading spots we're preparing around the shop.
For the next two hours we drink coffee, eat pastries and read in collective silence.
