Lit Therapy - Session #1
Description
Lit Therapy is a safe space to talk about the things you feel no one else gets. The highs, the lows, and the messy parts in between. Because we often turn to literature when the world gets too loud, we decided to turn that comfort into a shared conversation.
We’ll start each session by having everyone anonymously drop a topic, question or struggle into the mix for us to discuss. Feel free to bring them with you and, if comfortable, share the works that have seen you through your hard times, as will we.
The goal is to talk freely about what holds us back, and leave feeling a little less alone.
For our first session, we'll approach topics of mental health decline, depression, suicidal ideation, medication, and all the guilt, shame, and symptoms that come with it. Training psychologist Bruna Barbosa joins us to provide a clinical perspective, completely ditching the old-school, clinical stiffness.
A curated selection of the books discussed will be available for purchase.
