From Idea to Story. A Creative Writing Masterclass

"I have an idea for a book, but..." If you’ve been stuck on that “but” for ages, read this!

As you probably saw, the brilliant Monika Radojevic is coming to the bookshop on Tuesday, April 14th, to discuss her debut novel, Strangerland, with Leonor Rosas. But because Monika is not only a fantastic author but also a seasoned writing coach, she generously volunteered to stay an extra evening to host a very intimate, hands-on Creative Writing Masterclass with us: From Idea to Story.

You don't need to wait for inspiration to strike. You need structure. In this workshop, Monika will break down the absolute basics of storytelling (idea, plot, structure, character and setting), to help you build a solid foundation across any genre.

The Pitch Challenge: The best stories start with a pitch. During the session, you will be paired up and challenged to summarize your story idea in exactly three sentences. You'll test its strength, identify the weak spots and get real, actionable feedback from the group and from Monika herself, ending with an open Q&A.

Just bring whatever you use to take notes, your curiosity, and that one idea you haven’t been able to let go of.
